You might also try elann.com or smileysyarn.com. I've ordered from both companies.

I need help with Bernat Max yarn! I bought some today and I cannot find free patterns that can be used with this crazy yarn! I really want to make a blanket for my soon-to-be husband (his favorite color is purple and they just happened to have it clearance-priced at $1 per skein). Now I am thinking it was clearance-priced 'cause you can't use it to make a darn thing! Any help y'all could give me would be much appreciated! Since I don't know how to get this web site to send my AOL an account notice of new mail, please feel free to e-mail me anything you can find at sunyshine@aol.com. Thank you again! Brightest Blessings :0)

For everyone:

It appears the reason the "Max" is on sale everywhere is because Bernat is discontinuing it - they have no patterns free or for sale that I could find.

Actually, doing a search on it brought up a previous thread on these forums!

Here's the needle info if you want to try to wing it:
Tension
9 sts - 14 rows = 4" (10 cm)

Suggested Knitting Needle
8.00 mm, US - 11

Suggested Crochet Hook
8.00 mm, US - L/11

Also, you might try hitting the thrift shops from time to time. Got 2 garbage bags full at one place about 4 months ago. I'm always amaxed at what some folks toss--I could live very well on their wasted items.

hi
depending where you live
i use the goodwill stores
as all my crochet goes to charity
in ontario there is a lot of stores
you can get some really lovely yarn
it is amazing what people give away
and the money goes to their charities
for private use you will have to use the smaller stores
michaels is expensive we dont have jo-annes
and walmart is useless
