I think a lot of us already know that Madonna's next album, Hard Candy, comes out on Tuesday.

Right now, Madonna has the whole album available to listen to on her MySpace page. I had already heard "4 Minutes" and liked it, so I decided to see what the rest of the album was like.

My verdict: I was rather disappointed. As a whole, I didn't think the album is very strong. There were a couple of tracks besides "4 Minutes" that sounded promising (I can't remember their titles right now, sorry), but the rest was either mediocre or outright bad.

While Hard Candy doesn't rank quite as low as Erotica for me (Erotica is still my least favorite Madonna album), it still ranks pretty low... probably around American Life territory (American Life is my second-least favorite Madonna album).

I definitely will not buy Hard Candy at full price. I'll only pick it up at such a point that I can get it rather cheaply (primarily for "4 Minutes").

I agree. It's a good dance album, but in my personal opinion Timbaland's beats are getting overused and stale. Some of my more favorite tracks are "She's Not Me" and the more interesting sounding "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" even if it does sound straight from Justin Timberlake's album.

It is not her best album but I found it to be a good album. Hearbeat is the best song on it and it is also one of her best song. The other songs I like on it are 4 Minutes, Give It 2 Me, Miles Away, She's Not Me, Beat Goes On and Devil Wouldn't Recognize You.
