BellaOnline Forums Education Gifted Education Anyone attending the SENG conf. in July?

My 7.5yo son and I will be attending the SENG conference in July. We don't have a GT program in our district/school so he thinks he's the only child alive with his intellectual abilities. He is very excited to attend the SENG conference with me, and I'm excited to attend as well.

I was very tempted to go, but time and money just don't allow it this year. I hope you'll have a great time and that ds will connect with some true peers. Please give us a followup report when you get home!

I've been in touch with a SENG representative recently, and she is very excited about the conference. I encourage anyone who can to go. The social and emotional aspects of giftedness have been overlooked for so long! It is very helpful and affirming to celebrate the whole gifted child, and gain strategies for dealing with extreme sensitivities.
