In November 2006, Sean Bell died the night before his wedding, in a hail of fifty police bullets outside a Queens night-club. In a trial by Judge only, the Judge found the three detectives not guilty on all felony and misdemeanor charges.

Do you believe that justice was served? Or, do you see this as a miscarriage of justice?

I agree with his fiancee - 50 bullets.....NOT murder....what?

While I understand that cops have split second life or death decisions to make (and I was not at the scene) I really felt that it was too much.

I don't think it was served. I believe in trial by jury, not by one person. It hardly seems fair to the victim. Why be judged by someone who is part of the same system as you?

I agree as well. I do not believe that justice was completely served. I, too, understand that a split second decision was made. However, there should be consequences, considering that that the young man was not armed. 50 bullets seem to be quite excessive.

This is so unfortunate. I agree that split second decisions must be made by the police. But when those decisions are wrong, the police must pay the same way anyone else would.

Justice was completely served..

Now the likes of Sharpton and the family are trying to make this a racial incident when it obviously is not one.

Two of the officers were black. How can that be racial??
