They were pictures of my 13yr old son who was killed, May 15th is his birthday i am gonna wait till after his birthday to put his pictures in the album. i don't know if any time will be a right time for me to tackle that.

Hold up your faith in love, Rosie. A friend once told me, when I was very sad over the loss of a loved one, that love never dies - it just goes to a quieter place. The love and memories will always be there for you. Some day, you will be able to put the pictures in your book and you may still cry when you do, but the love will pull you through. Just think that you will be doing something for him.

For you, Rosie:

This thought I ask you to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

I am still collecting memory paper, cutouts and stuff to organize what I have. I have 2 BIG boxes of pictures of our 4 kids from the last 20 years, so I am not moving very fast. frown I need a "scrapbooking weekend" with 3 or 4 friends willing to give up their weekends, I mean... to help sort, organize and use all the materials I have to complete 4 memory books, one for each kid. laugh Think I have a chance of finding people to do that? It would be fun, though. wink

First off HI TRISH!!! Long time no see!

Maybe it would help you to sort things out by each child...that way it makes it 4 smaller more manageable piles. Then sort out eachs child's collection.

Also go little by little. I usually exhaust my supplies that I have then go and get new ones. I also eBay stuff that I have left over & that I probably won't use - EVER.

I also group pictures by what they are. All the easter pics together, all the dog park pics together, etc. in your case it would be chronologically I am guessing.

As for people to help...try looking at yahoo or msn groups or in your local craft shops to find scrappers or scrappers weekends near you.

Thanks, Wendy and it's good to talk to you again, too! Do you like your move? You can now plant some of the stuff that you could not grow up north. It's time to be thinking of flowers and vegetables again. smile

I like your ideas and think I will start sorting them by child. It will make the job seem much more manageable. wink (and it will make me more anxious to get started.)

Good talking to you and thanks again for your help and info.

Trish
