I thought of this topic while chatting with CookieCody and Frieda7 in another thread...
Regardless if you believe in astrology or not, it's kinda fun to check out your horoscope every once in a while, isn't it? It's also fun to learn the supposed characteristics of your astrological sign.
Just for fun, I'm wondering:
- How true is your astrological description to your personality? - How true is your DH/BF/SO's description to his/hers? - How do these dynamics play out in your relationship?
Let's have some fun with this!

I found this site if you want to check what some say about you and your partner's sign compatibility...it's kinda fun: Sign Compatibility 1. My Gemini sign fits me very well; indeed I have at least two significant facets to my personality, and I am a perfect dichotomy of emotion and logic (Mom and Dad, respectively). I find myself getting bored if I don't completely switch sides or direction every so often. For example, I can be happy reading a non-fiction how-to or self-improvement book one day, and the following week I'll be bored and switch to Harry Potter. Sometimes I'm perfectly content staying home on a weekend night, not wanting to be bothered with people and places; while other times I feel I'll chew an arm off if I have to stay confined, preferring entertainment. 2. My Libra BF is also true to his sign: VERY stable, doesn't get agitated, would never raise his voice, never goes to extremes. He's cautious, and indeed, he does have issues with decision-making (as does apparently CookieCody's DH). He would rather give a "we'll see" than commit to any one thing. 3. The relationship works, we're very happy, and I think as far as the signs go, they fit fairly well. His need for balance keeps my twins entertained, since he's never too far one way or another, which would get boring to me. Since I can go to extremes, his compliment of staying straight-and-narrow works in our favor.

I'm an Aquarius, and when people try to guess my sign, most of them guess right first time. I'm smack in the middle of the dates and I am so typical it's scary.
From W :
"Aquarius is a social sign with a healthy capacity for intellectual pursuits, but can also be rude and more than a little eccentric (yep!). Librans mesh well with Aquarians, especially in the bedroom. Both appreciate music, art and the finer things life has to offer. Sagittarians are also a good fit. Both signs like to be away from home and both respect each others yearning for a private life away from their partner. Other compatible signs are Pisces, Aries, Capricorn and Gemini.
Good for a fling Taurus, Leo and Scorpio.
Run for the hills and dont look back Cancer (too needy), Virgo (zero sparks in the bedroom)."
My ex husband was a Virgo. I frequently read that it's the worst partner I could have chosen. The last man was an Aquarius, a good match - both as weird as each other, although he was practically a Pisces (Feb 13).The man before him was as well (I see a pattern developing!). I have dated a Scorpio - that was fun, but apparently I should be looking for a Libra or a Sagittarius next. Good to know!

How fun! I'm Capricorn and DH is Scorpio. I think our relationship really works great--he brings out the fun, passionate side of me and I keep us a little grounded. I'm not sure how much like our typical signs we are, but I am very patient, responsible, good with money, etc. (although I'm NOT career-oriented/ambitious like I always read about caps). My DH is passionate, hard-working, always up for adventure, etc. I've also read that scorps are controlling/jealous but DH is not at all.
One thing I did notice is that all of my previous bf's that I was really head over heels for have all been Scorpios. Hmmm...
the only thing i want to parent is my great dane!

From wikipedia:
ME: Cancer (The Crab) (cardinal, water, personal): Keyword: "I feel". The Cancer person is protective, sensitive, tenacious, retentive, resourceful, self-contained, family and home oriented, maternal, security oriented, nurturing, warm, sympathetic, patriotic, sentimental, emotional, and loving. They can also be touchy, clinging, over-protective, moody and crabby. Suitable occupations are where shrewd but sensitive nature can be constructively employed, or in looking after others; such as nurses, gardeners, archaeologists, fashion and hairdressing, hoteliers, publicans, estate agents. In medical astrology Cancer governs the stomach and breasts. In astrology Cancer is ruled by the Moon. The sun sign dates for Cancer are June 23rd - July 22nd. The water form of Cancer is a torrent.
HUBBY: Aquarius (The Water Carrier) (fixed, air, universal): Keyword: "I know". The Aquarius person is unconventional, detached, intellectual, objective, individualistic, inventive, tolerant, unique, rebellious, sophisticated, future-oriented, friendship-oriented, humanitarian, cause-oriented, believes in groups and society, and progressive. They can also sometimes be unpredictable, dogmatic, over-permissive, aloof, eccentric and elitist. Suitable occupations are where the progressive mental qualities can be developed, preferable in a group; such as, photographer, writer, broadcastor, publisher, social worker, scientist, and the electronics, aviation, and computer industries. In medical astrology Aquarius governs the circulatory and nervous systems and ankles. In astrology Aquarius is ruled by the planets Saturn and Uranus. The sun sign dates for Aquarius are January 21st - February 19th. The air form of Aquarius is a hard winter storm.
"[Aquarius] Run for the hills and dont look back Cancer (too needy)," Snort!

I'm the Capricorn ( and another non-ambitious career minded one), I'm good with handling the money while my Cancer artist b/f is good with spending it ;-)

Well I am a Virgo and my DH is an Aquarius...
Virgo and Aquarius
(Continued)
To make a long story short, Aquarius is absent-minded, idealistic, curious, unconventional, objective and detached, while you are a meticulous, traditional, careful, cautious, productive (that is hardworking) and objective native. Many, many differences, but there are also some common points.
The question is: are there enough common points for your relation to last? The stars say there aren't, and elements teach us that Air feels confined in an earth cave and as soon as it sees a crack, it runs away.
What attracted you from the beginning was probably the fact that you both are rational and intellectual, sensible and objective. But Virgo always has one or two questions about Aquarius's crazy ideas that cut the latter's wings (they are usually exact and reasonable things, but Aquarius is, above all, the unconventional inventor and too many details bore him/her).
Aquarius is always interested in a more or less grand cause and (s)he is a specialist in human relations, while Virgo is reticent, too cautious for such an Air sign and very, very practical. Your ambitions are of a very personal nature and Aquarius is not very interested in listening to things like these. In conclusion, you are so different that you could hardly be friends.
Scary combination!

My DH is Leo and I'm a Piscean... We're not supposed to work - we do have some communication problems. Pisceans are dreamers and often drift through life unless they get a footing when they're young - I can identify with that - I work best under pressure, with deadlines - I need the motivation, discipline, routine and challenge of work...otherwise, I could be answering the door in my nightie at 11am...(not that there's anything wrong with that!) We're imaginative, open, sympathetic, faithful - yes, that's me! Artistic - not me, I'm useless with my hands - I have a vivid imagination so could perhaps, write but forget sculpture, painting, pottery etc. We're also, escapist, idealistic, secretive, vague & easily led - I agree with most of that - I love escaping overseas and doing exciting, interesting things - my work involves a lot of secrecy and I have no problem with that - I don't think I'm easily led - I rejected the examples around me at an early age and made my own decisions/choices... Leo - Loyal, ambitious, driven, forgetful, generous, kind, the protector... I'd agree with all of that...the ambition surprised me, I didn't see that for quite some time... Our communication problems probably stem from my need to talk through a problem or issue - he prefers to deal with things quickly and move on... For example:- A couple of months ago we "discussed" moving the lemon trees before the building work killed them - I thought we decided to move them until I got home to find them uprooted on the nature strip...he thought we agreed to get rid of them...WHAT! I still don't know why that happens so often...must be our star signs clashing!
