And, as if an earthquake in the midwest isn't freaky enough, on this date in 1906, at 5:12 AM, San Francisco was hit by a massive earthquake... Somewhere between 7.7 and 8.3 on the Richter scale...
I'm in Indiana. I felt the earthquake although I didn't know what it was at the time. I blamed the cat I couldn't figure out how she was shaking the bed and lamp table. She finally stopped and I went back to sleep.
