Lollie that is AWESOME about the 10 pounds!!! Yes it can take a while - but remember, losing slowly is much better than gaining! That is so great. And it could be muscle, which is much healthier for you in your system than fat.

Vegas will be *great* for your health! We went there a few years ago and it is a *ton* of walking. Make a point to walk around to see each casino. They're really pretty! When you eat, go for things like filet mignon, lobster, etc. I.e. you can treat yourself and eat really good things for you.

Drink lots of water! It can get hot there smile

I have photos and info on Vegas here!

Deb - That is great that you've lost 7 pounds! Definitely I am sure you're gaining muscle smile And lung power!

It does sound like a great idea to add some strength training into your mix! Walking and yoga are great starts, for general endurance and flexibility reasons. But for getting to the point of weight loss, more is definitely better. Strength training and aerobics are two halves of that!

There are lots of DVDs for aerobic activities - I use the dance dance games myself, on a PS2. They are SUPER fun and really get you active!

LOL ok after my half hour bike ride yesterday, this morning I was ... 140!! So I am gaining weight smile I am just so amused by this. It really goes to show that what we might think of as "lots of exercise" really isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things. I should probably be biking for an hour a day - not a half hour - if I want to lose weight.

Well I just caved in and ordered myself a new scale that measures muscle in addition to fat and water. I really want to know just what is going on inside my body. I'll let you know when I get it, what it says!

Well, I'm still at the 5lb mark but that's ok, it's better than gaining. I just replaced the motor controller ($200) in my treadmill so I'm back up and running. Maybe I'll see some more loss soon.

Sueey2 - it really makes SUCH a big difference if you exercise daily!! We have several women here who are steadily losing weight by doing treadmill walking every day. That is really the key. You have to actively do activities (grin) every day to become more healthy.

We will do everything we can to help you get in your walking daily! Do you need ideas about what to do, watch or read while you walk? Let us know how many miles you get in!

I just measured all my body parts - I had last done it just about a month ago. I am pretty much exactly the same everywhere smile So while my endurance is way up, and my flexibility is up, my size is the same. Maybe this is simply the size I'm meant to be! smile

I got a new scale - one that measures muscle mass and gives you your daily calorie level / metabolism level. It's an Omron scale. I'll see what that starts to show ...

Hello!

I am still haven't gotten below 200 but I am not giving up! I weighed in at 200.5 today. I have lost 5 lbs since we began this contest.

I am going to try to post some before and after pictures on the "sucess stories". I think I have definitely made some big changes. I really want to lose another 30 lbs.

Lisa, any plans to start another contest? We wouldn't even need a prize. I just love having the support. :-)
