Hey everybody...has anyone seen the family stick people stickers that parents put on their cars? They have a man, a woman, two babies, two girls, two boys and so on in the pack. I've always seen it as a way that parents show off how many kids they've had...I've always joked to my fiance about if I could find out where to get them, I'd put him, me, and our two cats, Thomas and Bridget, on our car.

Well last night I found them! The pack has two cat stickers in it so I put the man, woman, and two cats on my back car window last night. I don't know why but I feel great doing this--showing people there's more to a "family" than kids! Tim and I call Thomas and Bridget our children, which a lot of people think is ridiculous, but nevertheless it works for us and we're a family. I'm thinking of sticking letters over or under the stick people/animals that say our names or maybe just our family name. I don't want people thinking I'll add a kid to the list! smile Does anybody have ideas for what I can put next to the stickers?

Oh, and has anyone else done this with the family stickers? I know they have dog stickers too. I've never seen them on someone else's car without at least two kids, honestly, so to hear some more CF folks who have done this would be great. smile

Where did you find those ?
I would love to put my husband and I, two cats, & one dog....

By the way, I always put our "kids" names on my greeting cards/holiday cards after my name.

I love that idea. I've seen them at the flea market, but don't know where else. Too bad they probably don't have goose and duck stickers to go with them.

Hmm... I'd love to see the grouping of, say, two mommies and a little one...

But honestly, I can't understand why people feel the need to put their family configuration on their vehicles. Yes, I have a child, and yes, I'm thrilled that he exists -- but if I put that on my car window, it wouldn't alter, in either direction, my joy. Someone is getting rich off of this!

I have seen the two mommies with kids one! It was at a Pei Wei restaurant near my house, and one mommy was inside getting takeout while the other mommy waited in the car with the kids. Sure enough, it had the correct stickers on their van!

I have a bumper sticker on my car that says "The Perfect Child is an Australian Cattle Dog". I ordered it from Cafe Press! I love it!

How about a stick-figure kid with a circle and a line through it, like non-smoking signs?

You know, if you have an oven and a scrap piece of glass you can make your own window cling easily enough with liquid polymer clay. You just squeeze it out, add pigment, drizzle it onto the glass, and cook for the amount of time it says to. Let it cool, and bingo you have your own window-cling custom made.

DLEE,
LOL!

Grey,
I SO want to learn how to do that!

Tha family stickers are silly, though I have seen a few with a couple and a dog & cat in the middle, two dogs, etc with no kids. I saw a horse once and I've seen birdcages too! I bet they have a goose and other fun things.

The sticker families that bother me, though, are when they put each person's name. Are people really this stupid? What a great idea to let child mollesters know your kids' names and which kid is which too! Ugh. Hello?

Cherry, it's incredibly simple, really! Just about any craft store that sells polymer clay carries the liquid type, and if you buy a package of the regular kind of clay, roll it into thin "noodles", you can make an outline for the liquid clay to pool in. Lemme see if I can find a tutorial...Hurm. This is the closest thing I came to what I was talking about:BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons.
