I am a fan of Meg Cabot also...

I've been reading a lot of Sarah Strohmeyer lately. Her "Bubbles" series is hilarious.

Another one I like is Sophie Kinsells (Can You Keep a Secret), oh, and Kathleen Tessaro (Innocence).

Does Francesca Lia Block count? She's wonderful regardless.

One of my favourites is Australian, Colleen McCullough. I've just finished "The Ladies of Missalonghi", first published in 1987. Only a small book, 132 pages, set in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, Australia, just before the outbreak of the Great War.

Inside cover reads "On one level The Ladies of Missalonghi is a classic fairytale, on another it is a wickedly accurate picture of life in a place where men may dominate, but women rule."

A nice little love story.
