I really liked the Baby Trap. You can probably buy it used from Amazon, I think that's how I got it. I don't think they publish it anymore, but they should!!!

Fbrittt, Great topic! I've yet to read a CFBC book myself and I'm looking forward to the recommendations too.

I read "Baby NOT on Board" and it was hysterical! It is written in a funny and satirical kind of way but really touched on all the funny topics. It is also listed on Amazon.com. I am actually looking into some other books to read on the CF topic.

the books i've heard mentioned the most are (paraphrasing, can't remember exact titles): Beyond Motherhood & The Childless Revolution. if anyone out there has read either of these, or any others they would recommend, let us know

I read Beyond Motherhood. I liked it, but it's the only one I've read, so I'm not sure if it's the best. I read it before finding this forum. It was great for me at the time, because I really needed to hear about other women who feel like I do, but, for those of us at this forum who've been discussing it a lot, it probably won't say anything too groundbreaking. It wasn't like an amazing, stunning read...but good. It goes into different women's stories who are CF, and how they've personally addressed the different issues. It wasn't quite "enough" for me...I'd like to read another. Baby Trap sounds interesting.

I reasearched many books on CF when I was really feeling the need to, and by FAR, the best book I found was Childfree and Loving It, by Nikki Defago.
It's extremely educational, incorporating all walks of life, many points of view.
Get this book.

Beyond Motherhood is a great book (I think written by a psychologist) and is for people who are either considering being CF and also for people who have already made that decision. It gives several stories about people who are CF.
Families of Two is good, but it can get old. It's a compilation of interviews with 10-15 couples and asks the same exact questions of every couple about their CF lifestyle.
Of those two I've read, Beyond Motherhood is a definite "need to read".

I've read two books (it seems to be REALLY HARD to get childfree books in my local libraries!) One was called "Will you be mother? Women who choose to say NO" or something like that and I THINK the other one was called Childless by choice.
I too will buy some childfree books in the future and want to know which ones. Probably Baby Not On Board and Childfree And Loving It they're the ones I hear the best things about.
I leave the child-rearing to people who feel called to it. I've never felt that call.
