More whack-job mothers....I don't go looking for this stuff, really! I have to wonder what this society is coming to...

I came across a similar article here in the UK a little while ago (complete with scary pictures):

That's gross. My hope is that, like a lot of things published by the media, it's restricted to very limited areas (like where Billiecat lives!) and not as pervasive as they make it sound.

Having said that... a mom dragging her 10 y/o to get a bikini wax -- what the hell is wrong with a woman like that??????

Wow! I've never heard of such a thing! My girls are natural looking. My 14 year old wanted the stray hairs between her eyebrows gone, so I waxed them for her. LOLOL She hasn't done it since. hehehe I can't imagine her ever having a bikini wax...

I just read the entire article - "waxing before the hair grows"- that is amazing!

Sick. I can't imagine having to deal with these kinds of parents, OR, having a daughter who had to grow up around that. I grew up in So. Cal., and it was bad enough back then (especially as a semi-tomboy). I've always thought if I had to be a parent, give me a boy, oh please.

Also, I guess these mothers missed those news reports about the toxic chemicals in beauty products, a very unregulated industry. It's one thing for a full-grown woman to use these products, when she's old enough to make an educated decision. These kids are not, and need their parents to guard their safety. Chemicals accumulate in the body and a lot of things like hair dye and tanning, are going to affect a younger person even more than a grown person. These parents are awful.
