Do you have shutters on your house? Do you have window awnings or flower boxes?

We have awnings on all our windows. They are the metal slated type and direct water away from the windows and provide a nice heat shade. We also have a covered deck on the front of the house. I find our awnings allow me to hang bird feeders to enjoy the wildlife and give something for my furbabbies to stare at during the day as they laze on the windowsill lol

Hi Jase,
Your awnings and front deck sound really nice. You don't see awnings too much anymore, but I think they give a home a classic look.

When I first got married we rented a house in the country. We had furry critters looking in there - groundhogs! lol The back windows of the house were level with the ground so they would laze on the sills. It was actually a little creepy when you went to open the curtains and weren't expecting them! lol

I was curious if anyone knows of some suppliers for working shutters. The kind that close and are used for protection, not the kind for looks?

I did an internet search some time ago and I found a company in the SE somewhere but they were very expensive. Anyone out on the west coast?
