I have lots of great ultrasound pics of my son who is due is about 2 weeks but want to know how to scrapbook them safely. Any tips?

Hi ... I'm new here, and I meant to lurk ... but, I can tell you what I did with my ultrasound pic. I cut out pieces from acid free plastic and put on both sides of the pic. The plastic being a little bit larger than the pic. Then I sew round the edges with my sewing machine. Used blue thread ... all the scrapbook is embellished in blue.

Another great idea is getting colored copies of the ultrasounds and make sure that you use acid free paper to print on. This way you can be assured that they will last. Some ultrasound papers will discolor or fade over time.

I scanned my Ultrasounds into the computer and printed them on photo paper. They say US will not hold up over time so some kind of copy is your best bet. I found photocoping them didn't work - they looked aweful.

If you have the ultra sounds that are negatives, you can have them printed just like a photograph. I don't know if it takes a special store to print them at though.

I actually mounted mine on acid free paper ten years ago and then put them in a book they're still in great shape.
