Hi Jill,
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you - It's been a long week, and I've been away. Non-alcoholic beers that you might like to try vary greatly. I would recommend trying both local beers and imports. You may actually find the imports to be more varied, with richer flavor. Here's a short list to get you started:
Clausthaler Extra Herb Premium Alkoholfrei - Binding Brauerei AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany Clausthaler Classis Alkoholfrei - Binding Brauerei AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany Erdinger Weissbier Alkoholfrei - Erdinger Weissbrau, Erding, Germany Buckler-Heineken - Nederland B.V., Zoeterwoude, Netherlands O'Doul's - Anheuser Busch, St. Louis, Missouri, USA O'Doul's Amber - Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, Missouri, USA Kaliber - Guinness Ltd., Dublin, Ireland Gerstel - Eichbaum Brauereien AG Kafertaler, Manheim, Germany Baltika #0 Non-alcoholic - Pivzavod Baltika, Baltic Beverages Holdings, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation Einbecker Brauherren - Einbecker Brauhaus AG, Einbeck, Germany Sibirskaya Korona Non Alcoholic - Pivzavod AO Rosar, Omsk, Russian Federation

Also Non alcoholic, but not recommended (unless you have an iron gut and dead taste-buds):
St. Pauli N.A. - St. Pauli Brauerei C.L. Wilh. Brandt Gmbh & Co, Bremen, Germany Coors Non-Alcoholic - Coors Brewing Co., Golden, Colorado, USA Pabst Non-alcoholic - Pabst Brewing Company, G. Heileman Brewing Company, San Antonio, Texas, USA

avoid Coors non-alcoholic at all costs. heck even if you ARE drinking avoid Coors at all costs haha. I've seen some not so bad reactions to O'Douls Amber or St. Paulie Girl n/a.

Note, with the World Beer Cup and GABF winners: These taste tests are done "blind." All beers are presented to professional tasters (brewers, sensory analysts, and certified tasters) in cups that are labeled by numbers only - no other form of identification. They are all approximately the same temperature, and evaluations are done based on appearance, aroma, flavor, mouthfeel, drinkability, and overall impression.
It is remarkable to see this level of consistency in the assignment of medals, so these are better than the average.

Okay, Ladles and Jellyspoons - err...I mean, "Ladies and Gentlemen"! The winners of the 2008 World Beer Cup for Non-alcoholic beer have just been announced. They are from the Czech Republic and Germany. You'll want to try these. If they are not available in your area, ask your distributor or beer supplier to contact an importer about it. You deserve the good stuff:
Gold: Radegast Birell, Plzeňsk Prazdroj, Pilsen, Czech Republic Silver: Hefeweizen alkoholfrei, Alpirsbacher Klosterbru Glauner GmbH & Co. KG, Alpirsbach, Germany Bronze: Organic Saps-Fit Sparkling Malt Drink, Neumarkter Lammsbru Gebr. Ehrnsperger e.K., Neumarkt, Germany

hi..........
I would like to find a low carb non-alcoholic beer as well. I am still looking, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't exist. The lowest carb I could find is Sharps at 12 grams of carbs.
thanks
