Started my spring cleaning today. Opening all the windows and airing out the place and scrubbing, dusting, mopping, etc etc. Has anyone else started yet? In one regard, I hate this time of year but in another, I felt so energetic today and felt like I could take on the world and get so much done and I did. But more to do tomorrow.

It's a little chilly here - another week or two and I think we'll get to the open window stage! It really makes such a huge difference in a house's feeling

I love spring cleaning. It's so energizing and cathartic.
We have a few open window days here, interspersed with chilly days. But the daffodils are blooming!

Yes, the weather here is definitely warming up because I'm seeing little buggies flying around already and it's been nice enough during the day to prop the windows open and air the place out. So right now, I can officially say that my cleaning is half done. I still have the upstairs to do yet, but it smells so good in here and feels great to have gotten this much done.
And yes, Lisa, it does make a huge difference in how the house feels, that's for sure.

Those huge yellow daffodil heads are so brave, nodding on their weak stalks. My dogs run by and chop them off with their leashes. So i carefully bring them inside and place them in fresh water in vases. It's like a rescue op. They look so pretty in the living room, and more fresh blooms come up each day. What a treat to see these volunteers just come up with no effort from me.
