My mom felt that she didn't have the choice to NOT have children and is very happy that one of her girls is choosing that path. She always said in another life, she would be me!
I can relate, Anatasia. I think if my mom could do it over, she wouldn't have had kids. At least not in the same situation. She had 3 kids all by the time she was 24. When I told her that I didn't think I wanted kids, she said, "That's perfectly fine. Nothing says you have to."
Haha! I'll ask her to make some time for you myrabeth! Don't envy me too much though. As wonderfully understanding as my mom is, my mother in law is the polar opposite. That's where practically all of my bingos come from. This woman asked me, before hubby and I were even engaged, how many kids we were going to have. Not if we were going to have them, how many!!!? WTF! Luckily she lives clear across the country and I don't have to talk to her that often.
