I've gone flyfishing for women, but apparently was using the wrong lure.

I love the damsel fly.
I go trolling for trout. Don't seem to have the patience for
fly fishing. I've tried it. Definitely a skill.
Skinnyspinner must have some great stories.

I Love fishing, I am a qualified instructor and teach Spey casting too so have many men coming for lessons, whats not to love? Here's a story! Years ago(at least 24) I was fishing on a Scottish river when I saw a chap approach on the opposite bank. He stopped opposite me and called over,in a surprised tone, you are a woman. I replied yes last time I looked. We carried on chatting for around half an hour, he was on holiday, fished when he could and wished he could get his wife interested. The following year at around the same time of year I was on the same river when a chap approached on the opposite bank, he got level with me and shouted across, Its you , that woman again! Yes I replied, I was having such fun I decided to stay on for a while.

Very cute coincidence. I knew of one woman in my area that used to go out fishing in the morning before work. She knew the best salmon spots.

I checked out your website. I've never heard of a fly fishing school around here but I'm not into the sport so much. Do you do well with it?

What types of fish are best caught in Scotland this way?

Hi Denise, sorry it has taken me a while to reply, I have been moving house and setting up my new B&B so very busy.

We have lots of coarse fish, carp, Pike, bream, chub, perch etc, but I fish mainly for Salmon, trout and seatrout.

Intend to start sea fishing soon too as we are now 3 miles from the sea.

Regards

Sue
