A wave of happiness just came over me this week..... and it is because I don't have kids!

I want you all to celebrate today - be happy - you are not going home to dirty diapers, sleepless nights, temper tantrums, huge amounts of debt, lack of privacy, exhaustion, reckless teenagers, bad report cards, etc etc etc.

Life is divine :O)

Yes...no need to be the Easter Bunny this weekend, or arrange egg hunts, or buy unnecessary Easter candy! I have a three-day weekend and the freedom to do whatever I want!

I have to admit, I like buying Easter candy. But at least I get it all to myself!

Love it! It certainly is a good thing to celebrate. My husband was out of town this week for work and I thought how awesome it was that we have no kids and I don't have to do all that work by myself! I got to just rent chick flicks and eat chips for dinner on the couch, etc. Yes I missed my DH but it sure was fun smile

the only thing i want to parent is my great dane!

KinderFrei, I had a week like that at the beginning of the month. My fiance spent seven days away on business, leaving me all alone with the Beastie. I caught up on some housework, hung out with a friend (who moved out of state this morning *sigh*), did a little writing, and enjoyed the silence. Like you, I missed the guy a lot, but I enjoyed myself anyway!

Today, I'm celebrating a peaceful day off work. I have just a little cleaning to tend to, and I'll make dinner for my man when he gets home, but otherwise, my time is my own. So I've been sitting at my desk, catching up on this forum and feeding treats to the Beastie while a lovely spring breeze comes in my window. This is a good day.

Woohoo! Great idea to appreciate those glorious CF days as they happen.

We just finished a huge remodeling project that took over a year. This week is our first week of not waking up to a morning of dealing with flaky contractors, writing letters, making challenging phone calls, worrying that things will go wrong, waiting for inspectors or workers, etc.

The last 3 mornings we've slept in a bit (till 7:30 is late for us), had a quiet, leisurely breakfast, took walks, read the paper and drank coffee, and just relaxed and talked for about an hour before going to work. It's been wonderful! No cajoling kids out of bed, making lunches, driving to schools, listening to tantrums. I haven't even left the house in several days! Even had my groceries delivered yesterday so I could stay home with the pets, have time to do some yoga. Plus I started my veggie garden. : )
