I getting up there in years and hate to admit I haven't saved much money.

I'll always keep working because I want to.

I do worry I won't always have the money I need to live comfortably.

Does anyone else feel that way?

I will keep working forever too. I like doing interesting projects -if I am designing & making money from that I would love it!!

I want to live extra long & be very successful. If I inherited money & could be financially set when I'm old that would be cool too.

I would still have many interests. Either way I'm prepared for.
There are ways to get by even if you don't have the money.

Many women worry about outliving their mney - it's called the "bag lady syndrome."

I agree with Earthly Dream - there are always ways to earn money. BUT a financial cushion is comfortable thing to have. God forbid something should happen and we can't work.

You're going to laugh but start saving the change from the bottom of your purse. Put it in the bank and earn interest. Decide to immediately take out 10% of income and place that in the bank too.

Start somewhere to build your financial cushion - peace of mind is a wonderful thing!

I get that annual SSI report on how much I will get when I retire. I have not earned enough points in last ten years to get anything for disability, so luckily I have some meager disability insurance and accident ins in case.

My kids are on SSI and Social Security and I am a home health care worker for my younger son, so once something changes for them - not that it will, but who knows, then I have to look at other options, but now anything else I earn would have to be counted against that. This is why I would like to learn more skills to fall back on for something.

I worked in insurance and accounting for years in offices, but last time was in 1994 so need to update skills or get certified in special ed as an advocate or something.

I think it's too bad that some of the systems in place actually discourage people from earning more money. Even on Social security, if you earn above a certain amount, they start deducting from your SSI check - as if it isn't small enough already!

I'll probably want to keep working at something all my life too. I think it keeps your mind young. My dad retired at 55 and went into public service-all volunteer positions- for the next 25 years. Now he's over 80 and getting off all the volunteer positions and he doesn't know what to do with himself.

I don't worry about outliving my money as that really doesn't do any good-lol. My husband and I are trying to downsize now that our last daughter is finishing college, so we can live on his military retirement, plus whatever supplemental income we can bring in.

Like I said tho, once you start taking SSI, it discourages you from working anymore, or making too much money.

I agree - it's almost as if we as a society discourage wealth. "Filty rich."

Do you think the answer is to educate children about the power of building wealth? Not so much being "rich" but building a legacy of wealth.

Do you think future generations will be able to rely on the government for help? Will the government have the money?

I've decided I'm changing my attitude - I'm not going to worry about money, I'm going to earn more money.

I'll use the Law of Attraction and start learning new wealth skills.

If you sit around worrying about the future, you'll miss out on today!

Me too - I was going to give up on home party plans, but have decided to try it one more time and make the best of it. I know what to do - it has just never really been where I could see it being a necessity. In the future it will be....so..........

That and writing........
