In the A-Z thread, Nancy suggested:

"To make it interesting we could name movies about motorcycles with actors names. Your Husqvarna reference - OLn Any Sunday - 1970 Husqvarna 400 - Steve McQueen"

That does sound interesting.

I don't know the actor in this movie, but in the recent film about Che, "Motorcycle Diaries", he was riding a 1939 500cc Norton single (Manx?).

Or we can switch it up - I'll name the bike, you name the movie.

How about Moto Guzzi? (Hint: In the movie I am thinking of, this bike is used to make a jump)

Frank

You do like challengews. Does it have Clint Eastwood in it? or Audry Hepburn? or is it a newer movie?

How bout a movie with a Triumph in it? I believe there are several very famous ones.

Sure does have Clint eastwood - and several other Guzzis.

I'll go the cheap and easy route with Triumph and cite to Shampoo, with Warren Beatty.

How about Electroglide in Blue?

But I don't remember who acted in it?
Do you know Frank?

I was so upset when I watched that film! Two whole hours to find out the guy gets shot and the bike 'Glides off, all Blue into the sunset'!! Poor man!!

I, like so many others, know that Robert Blake starred in EGIB. problem is, there was a it was a partnered pair of cops, like cops generally work, and nobody remembers the other guy.

Indeed there are Triumphs all over the place in movies.

Here's a semi-trick question - in what movie did a Triumph motorcycle have an "acting" role? What role did it "play"? Who rode it?

Big hint - possibly most famous bike jump scene in all movies.

"The Triumph film I am sorry to say I do not have a clue."

You do have a clue, I gave you a clue, it just doesn't mean anything to you.

I'll expand - I don't think that anyone would dispute that this motorcyle jump, ostensibly by Steve McQueen, is the most famous in all movie motorcycle stunts.

Here's a real stumper.

I have my own recollection of the bike I am looking for here, but I find I am disputed by several Internet sources which also dispute each other.

What was the motorcycle ridden by Leonard Smalls, the "Lone Biker of the Apocalypse", in the early Coen Brothers comedy "Raising Arizona"? (Starring Nicholas Cage & Helen Hunt and featuring former world kick boxing champion and heavyweight boxing title contender Randall "Tex" Cobb as the Lone Biker etc.)
