I saw this in another forum, a guide from 1943 on hiring women -

Very interesting. Lisa. It is amazing how the work day world has changed. I thought #9 was really poignant:
"Be tactful when issuing instructions or in making criticisms. Women are often sensitive; they cannot shrug off harsh words the way men do. Never ridicule a woman it breaks her spirit and cuts off her efficiency."
Women have come a long way! I always found over the years I worked that criticism helped me to develope new ways of improving my work habits and made me more efficient.
Thanks for sharing.

And now it's gone the opposite. Husky girls are considered lazy and undesirable employee prospects. Hopefully it'll spin back around again.

Thanks, Lisa!
Love the retro article!
I saw somewhere online that there was a study that proved that us gals with larger curves tend to to have more efficient brains/higher IQ's & actually make smarter babies!
(Did anyone else see that?)
The B.F. DID and has been crowing about it ever since to his buddies with skinny,'not so smart' stick-girlfrends. LOL)
(In the tradition of the [censored] Monologs - I am officially RE-CLAIMING the "Husky" title for myself - I think I'll create a t-shirt for myself and an outrageous, fancy, sparkley "HUSKY" pin!!)
I'm PROUD to be a "Husky Girl"!!!
Well behaved women rarely make history.....

I read the smarter babies one. Your shirt sounds awesome. You need a bumper sticker too!
