Siobhain, the sequel to Gone With The Wind was titled "Scarlet" and yes, the family did have to authorize it. It was not as deep and poignant as the first book and lost some of the excitement, enchantment and romance. I think I could have written a better sequel than that. In fact, I had even started one several years ago, but gave up on it. Maybe someday soon I will drag it out and finish it, just for my own enjoyment.

Just finished The Warrior Trainer by Gerri Russell - good for a first book but numerous grammar problems that just kept interrupting the flow of the story. Also, the basic premise of a "female warrior who could best any man she met, even incredibly skilled ones" did not match well with the fact that the only person who trained her - her mother - died when she was 14. So somehow from age 14 she managed to self train herself to the skill level that she could disarm a top knight in 4 moves smile

I just finished Lani Daine Rich's A Little Ray of Sunshine which was a wonderful book. If you're a fan of her previous release, The Fortune Quilt, you will not be disappointed. If you haven't read either one (or an of Lani's other books) you're in a for a real treat.

Lisa,
Have you tried Glynnis Campbell's trilogy (My Hero, My Warrior, My Champion)? Glynnis is Sara's real name and these were her first 3 books. I enjoyed them.

Next up: a reread of To Kill a Mockingbird and Patricia Briggs' Blood Bound.
