Many people seem to enjoy peppermint tea. It has many medicinal properties but to me, the flavor is a major turn-off. So I drink spearmint tea. It tends to have the same effects and it tastes much better.

Which do you prefer?

I'm not really a fan of any mints, if I had to choose I suppose it would be a toss-up for me smile It would depend on the mood of the day smile

I've never had spearmint tea. I really like peppermint tea, though :-)

I love peppermint tea - hot and iced - but have never had spearmint.

I've never tried spearmint, but I love Doublemint gum, does that count? I would imagine that I would like it just as well as peppermint. The smell of a hot cup of peppermint is such a mood lifter! Do you have a brand of spearmint tea that you recommend?

I tried spearmint tea and didn't like it at all - it may just have been the brand and any other herb that they put in.

I would have to choose the peppermint. I've never liked spearmint very much.

Either spearmint or peppermint tea is wonderful. I work at an herb farm and make mine fresh whenever the notion strikes. If you ever have the opportunity to make a fresh cup of lemon balm tea (which is sort of a lemony mint flavor), you can mix it with just about any of the mints for a very 'picker-up' tea. More of us probably need to get in the habit of taking tea the way it was intended, slow and entertaining for self so we can truly enjoy not only the tea, but the relaxation of the time too. Those times are few for me, but when I do have time, it is fun to take a tray and load it with a fresh brewed cup of tea and perhaps something fresh baked (cookies, scones, bread) and a few flowers in a vase and head to the back porch and watch the birds.......little bit of heaven on earth.
