When I was a kid, I had a couple of dreams about black high heel shoes. In one I was traveling in the car with my mother and grandmother and one of my grandmother's shoes jumped out the window and started hopping along in front of the car. It doesn't sound at all scary does it? But the feeling with it was really bad and I'll never forget it. Around the same time I had a dream that I was traveling with my Granny and Grandpa Ben and we stopped at an old abandoned house. They were sitting at a table drinking champagne (which was very odd) and totally ignoring me. I started exploring and wandered into a back bedroom. I opened up the closet door and saw a black high heel shoe with half a leg in it. It started chasing me and kicking me and I was screaming for my Granny and she just didn't seem to hear me.

UGH! Scary dream Deena! No more nachos before bed for you! When I was a kid, I used to have this dream about the tv show "Alias Smith & Jones." But the dream wasn't the strange part. It was me suddenly remembering the dream at some other point in time, and not being able to remember if I'd had the dream before, or if it was a dream of a dream - so it was actually a first timer LOL. To this day I don't know if I dreamt it 20 times, or dreamed I dreamt it 20 times.

What??? You are cracking me up. I LOVED Alias Smith and Jones. Here's something I hate to admit! When I lived away from my family out in New Mexico, my mom told me that an aunt had passed away. When I came home to visit I mentioned the aunt and my mom looked at me like I was crazy and said she had told me this aunt had died. I hated admitting that I thought I had dreamed it (that was during my hippie stage though)!

Recently, I had a dream I was in a house. It was all white and the creatures inside of it were dark, but wearing white clothes. Most of them were solidly packed swarms of flies that would "explode" at me as I walked into the room. One of them was a guy with waist-long dread locks and a scruffy beard (kinda looked like Rob Zombie). I walked into the room and he started murmuring and jumping around a little. Then, suddenly, he threw up his hands and opened his mouth like he was screaming and a huge swarm of flies came at me. I just batted them away, but the feelings from all these creatures were very dark and oppressive. The dream switched to me upstairs with a guy that was supposed to be my father. I was standing in my Nanny's old bedroom (she died when I was 18) and staring at the windows. The guy put his arms around me and said, "Everything will be fine, honey. We can start over again, soon." I started crying and broke out of his arms, collapsing on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably, saying, "I just miss Nanny so much!" I woke myself up from crying.
If you want more of the demonic/paranormal dreams, Deena, I have them in abundance...

OMG Deena! You must have been shocked when you realized it hadn't been a dream.

Oh Christa - what a frightening dream! I really hate those scary paranormal dreams. I used to have this dream where my beloved dog came to me, only I'd find out it was an ucky demon disguised as her.

Okay... so I notice you have your name spelled two ways. Do you prefer one over the other?

Oh my goodness. I would hate to have a dream about my sweet little dog Goku really being a demon! Although, I don't think the mail lady would be too surprised! Don't you hate it when the atmosphere of a dream stays with you all day long?

Ok, I had this dream over the weekend...
I got engaged Fri night (for real). In my dream, I dreamt I got engaged Fri night (just like I did), but later on that night I married some other guy. When I looked at the ring from my real life fiance, all the stones had fallen out of the ring. I was really upset and tried to talk to my fiance telling him I didn't want to be married to this other guy. He told me that wasn't a good reason to get a divorce...
Gosh! I told my fiance the dream & he laughed!

When I was much younger, I had a recurring dream about climbing a dark, curving stone staircase that seemed to go on forever and it was enclosed by stone walls on both sides. I never got to the top, it just went on and on. Once I did see the top, but could not reach it. At the top was a closed door and I could see a bright, very bright light seeping out thru the bottom and sides of the door.
This dream never left me feeling frightened, just very curious.
