Bette Midler is an actress I have always loved. She was great in some of those early 80s comedies. And I loved her in Beaches.

But my all time favorite was her portrayal of Jacqueline Suzanne in "Isn't She Great" with Nathan Lane.

Any other Bette fans?

Oh the Rose was an excellent movie! I LOVE the soundtrack, and even do the "rose" myself when I go out and perform locally.

And Moe! I like this version even more than the soundtrack version! Thanks for posting it!

Her voice just gives me the chills... it's so emotional and powerful and gorgeous!

Bette Midler is such a great actress - I loved The Rose. Did you see her in that movie where she played one of the three witch sisters? She was so good. It was a comedy, I don't remember the name.

I adore Bette Midler. She was in a funny movie with Lily Tomlin where they played twins. Can't remember the name but it was hilarious. Also loved her in the movie with Diane from Cheers (forget her name, too) where they played aspiring actresses who hated each other.

Hocus Pocus - why would I forget that name? Yes, it was a funny movie. We watch it every Halloween, too.

I never saw the movie with the gal from Cheers - bet that is good.

We just saw "Hocus Pocus" on ABC Family the other day! The little ones loved it.

My favorite is "For the Boys". Fantastic music - I destroyed my tape of this when it first came out because I played it so much. But I always cry when her son is killed and she's holding him. And James Caan is just perfet in his role.
