This type of thread is my favorite. Here is my list:

1) Continued planning the biking trip I will take in Austria next September. No need to worry about Junior or Jemima's school schedule.
2) Enjoyed an awesome weekend of skiing at Taos Ski Valley. It was Rocky Mountain skiing at it's best. Glorious sunshine on Saturday was followed by terrific powder skiing with 12" of new snow yesterday. I enjoyed skiing alone and with a friend on Saturday afternoon.
3) When I got home last night, it was snowing hard. On the spur of the moment, I decided I'd ski the local cross country ski trail this morning. I went to bed without having packed my breakfast or lunch or laid out my clothes. I got up at 6:00 this morning and packed my breakfast and lunch. I didn't have to worry about checking if schools were on a delay, getting Junior ready or if homework had been done, etc. I enjoyed a great 45 min ski on the local cross country trail. Despite some very slick roads, I was able to arrive at the office by 8:30 without rushing. As usual during ski season, I will work 10 hours today and 6 hours on Friday. On Friday, I'll downhill ski at the local ski area, Pajarito Mountain.

1. Taking a week off without pay just because I need a break.
2. Having a phone/online birthday party for a friend this afternoon. She's 3000 miles away, but we can talk on the phone, eat junk food, and play games online blissfully uninterrupted for a few hours.
3. Putting off doing laundry until most of my neighbors are eating dinner so I won't have to fight crowds at the apartment complex laundry room. And since I'm the only person I have to cook for this week, I'll have my own dinner as late as I like.

FeeBeeGeeBee you have the most creative posts smile

1. Went roller skating (so retro!) with a bunch of friends for one friend's 30th bday and stayed out all night

2. Slept in and snuggled with my fiance until we decided to roll out of bed at noon.

3. Took off on a day trip with fiance and, obviously, did not have to arrange for a babysitter!

1. Decided to have an HD movie marathon this weekend, uninterrupted, just because we could.

2. Slept in and snuggled all Saturday morning, with the bedroom door open smile

3. Cleaned up the house a bit just because we could, without having rugrats messing it up behind us.

1. I've been helping a friend paint her new office on Tuesdays. I couldn't do that if I wasn't self-employed, which I likely wouldn't be if I were a parent.

2. I played an early evening show Thursday night, decided I was too jazzed to go to bed, so I called a cf friend and did some bar hopping with him. That wouldn't be responsible parenting on a school night.

3. Even though I am experiencing some unexpected job start delays, a pay delay AND the dh may be temporarily laid off, we will be able to survive financially (and retain a level of sanity) because we don't have the extra expense of children.

Today my husband got sick and I was able to take care of and fuss over him. He was able to come home to a quiet home and just concentrate on getting better. Peaceful bliss!

1. Currently on holiday - no need to worry about school holidays or other kid related restrictions.
2. We spent the first week of our holiday at a gorgeous resort in Thailand - the resort "does not cater for children under the age of 16"...so, we couldn't have stayed there with kids.
3. Over the last week we have enjoyed swimming, sleeping late, massages & other treatments at the Day Spa, eaten at some lovely restaurants and enjoyed an afternoon nap most days...relaxation in a CF nutshell...
4. In Bangkok we dined at Sirocco - on the roof of the State Tower - dining under the stars with stunning views of the City, listening to a jazz singer and enjoying the food...Yes, life's pretty good!
Sorry, that's 4 - I could have gone on and on...

1) be able to ask myself "what do I really want to do today"? and do it

2) be able to ask myself "what do I really want to do with my life"? and plan out how to do it

3) have sex with DH on weekdays before dinner and weekend afternoons
