I am looking into purchasing a Peek a Poo, I had a Pom a Poo that was adorable. Are Peek a Poos good pets? I would appreciate any feedback!

As with any mixed breed dog, you have to check out the normal dispositions of both breeds as the one you pick out could vary anywhere between the two extremes. If these breeders have bred previous generations of the puppies, maybe you can get references from others who have purchased them and speak to a few to get ideas of the range of personalities. As well as the personalities, you will want to find out whether the pups have poodle hair or peke hair. Check out health problems related to both breeds and especially to the parent dogs. Are the parents both purebreds for their breed or are they both mixed breeds too?
Also please know that the humane societies and rescues are full with dogs and puppies and you may find a similar mix for a fraction of the price.

Rescues and pounds are wonderful options for mixed breed dogs. Please check your local rescues and pounds before purchasing a peke-a-poo from a breeder, you may find a wonderful companion there, and save a life at the same time.

After rescuing an 8-year-old Cockapoo from the local shelter three years ago (or is it four now, I lose track...) hubby and I have decided that our mission from here on out will be to look for the older, less "adoptable" dogs. We really hit the jackpot with Callie, as she was completely housebroken, and had been taught both verbal and hand signals for behavior. So somewhere along the way she had a great home, but like some of the genteel southern ladies of the antebellum American era, she fell on hard times and was forced to "rely on the kindness of strangers."
