Question about the Spirit Lance and the butterfly game. Do you have to complete both games concurrently, as in start in the North, solve the first game, then without stopping go right through the second one after the dude that tells you about the game and solve that one without ever getting hit and getting all 14 butterflies, or can you solve the first one, then take multiple tries at the second one? (as long as you don't leave the area completely)

u can trie as often as u like.
when i got the first i went streight to the second and it took me 3 tries and i got the item.
tough it isnt the spirit lance.
its some sigil/crest

u only need to finish the 1st contest the one beside the guy with the harp (the second contest is optional, u can get a friend sphere)... be very careful not to go all d way down when getting the last butterfly coz if u do, u'll be on the next map without getting ur prize... i did this a lot of times n it [censored] me real bad that i didnt played the game for almost a week... lol

Talk about [censored] for a week! I finally got the damn thing, and this is how it went down. Solving the mazes was never the problem. You learn the "ground path" and motor right through after a few tries. I was playing the second maze like you said, and every time I would solve it the chest just dropped down to where I couldn't get it. Frusrated this morning I tried the first maze again. Same thing, solve no prob, then Poof! chest be gone. So I went back to see if I missed any chests during it, and lo and behold, there about half way back through the maze was the Saturn Sigil in a chest. In the FIRST maze.... Go figure. Thanks for the help, though. That part about you can't leave the exact area of the maze is what did it.
