Oh, I wish I could sit "quietly" and NOT think of ANYTHING! That is one gift I have not gotten yet. I have four children and there isn't one second of my day that one (maybe more) needs me for something. I can't even "sneek" into the bathroom. But anyway what you said sounds SO GOOD. To get my mind to stop for a second would be a Blessing too. It just keeps going, kind of like the energizer bunny.

I either curl up with a good book, take a long hot bath or do both at the same time. I also like to bake.

I love to take a long hot bath and read a book, along with sipping a glass of wine.

Get a massage! The first time I had a professional massage, I realized I should have been born a princess LOL!

I like to watch the soapies that were taped earlier in the day with DH. I also like our after dinner walks. Nature has a very relaxing affect.

Massage is my very very favorite way to unwind... but if I can't do that, I also love to curl up in front of the tv and watch something I recorded - like Lost or Supernatural I love to sit outside, whether permitting, on my porch swing and read. It's so relaxing to listen to the sounds of the outside world.

Facials are a good relaxation treat too. I try to get one once every two months or so depending on funds. I recently tried a foot reflexology treatment and it was very relaxing. I may try this again in the future.

Having a cup of hot choclate or tea or Mocha and sitting down with a good book and a cozy blanket. Or, if the weather is comfortable, sitting outside in my herb garden.

Facials and massages!!! They are great relaxers. It's hard to find the time and the money, but isn't it unfortunate we can't think of it as something we "need" for our health?
What about yoga? It's highly recommended, but rarely works as a relaxer for me. The meditation part of yoga works, but very few classes can pull it off the right way. Especially in gyms, they rarely give yoga the extra time needed for good relaxation afterward.
Strong excerise works wonders for me. If I get those endorphines going I can feel so much better.
