I agree, green cleaning is a great thing to do. It really helps now that there are so many "green" products on the market!

I add white vinegar to the wash cycle. It helps remove laundry detergent build up and helps whiten too. Of course you know you can always add a few drops of an essential oil to a damp piece of cloth and toss that in your dryer to distribute the scent.

We're allergic to dryer sheets so we haven't used them in eons, but I think they keep clothes from being static-filled right? Our clothes are always very staticky ...

The vinegar will help with static. The smell dissapates after a bit in the dryer.

My windows are always sparkling. My daughter in law was a professional window cleaner and told me how to clean my large picture windows with panes and french doors. I use a squirt of dawn regular dishwashing liquid, a squeegy and paper towel. I wash with the paper towel, squeegy it off and it's done and they absolutely sparkle, no streaks. I would never have believed it.

That's a great idea Nancy! This 7th generation stuff is very streaky. We only have a bathroom squeegy though. It's meant for the tiles I think. I can give it a try on the window ...
