i am trying to learn how to convert a knit pattern into crochet! I have some ideas but would love to know if anyone has anidea of what to convert a purl stitch into?

One way to do this is to work out your tension and try to convert the pattern mathematically. There is more info here .

Remember that crochet stitches are a different shape to knitting stitches and this is why checking your gauge is important.
