The moment they appear in the grocery flower section I purchase a colorful primose plant. If I am lucky enough to keep it alive in my office until the ground thaws I plant it outside.
I just bought two crocus plants last week. One has bloomed already and the other is getting ready to bloom. Unfortunately, they be dried bulbs before the ground thaws here.
Daffodils, gotta be daffodils. I think they are so cheery and seem to be saying "Winter is over! Happy spring!" In the state of Washington there are daffodils just about everywhere you go in the spring and it really brightens up the day to see groups of them scatterd here and there.
