Wild animals are not immune to accidents. In Alaska we hear the occasional story about a moose falling from a cliff or caribou falling through thin ice. Here's a story from today's Anchorage Daily News about a moose cow who broke through thin ice on the Chilkat River - but was fortunately seen by local residents (hunters) who managed to get her out.
