The weekend of February 22 - 24 has a host of events happening in celebration of Mardi Gras.

Saturday event is the 16th Annual Cajun Zydeco Mardi Gras Ball held at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston and is sponsored by Lagniappe Productions. The Ball will feature Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band, and The Red Stick Rambles with Jesse Lege. The Hot Tamale Brass Band will be on hand for the Costume Parade.
