Being single can be fun. So why shouldn't it be fun being single on Valentine's Day? Do you celebrate this holiday in a special way? Or do you feel that it is just for couples, and wish the day would simply go away?

Holidays are what they are. No matter what the holiday, it will be just one day to celebrate something particular. So why not have a special day to tell someone you love them? Just as we have special days for mothers' and fathers', or birthdays. Have some fun!

Why not celebrate yourself! Give some nice flowers or chocolates & a great meal just for you!!!
When I was single & lived by myself I LOVED it!! So peaceful & nice-like a luxury vacation!!

ABSOLUTELY! I think that too much can be made out of this holiday. And the commercial aspect has ruined it for many people. I say, have fun! Do something nice for yourself instead of trying to ignore the day. :-)

I'm late, but I agree with everyone in this thread. I just tihnk there is so much hype put on one day when every day should be valentines day. Just as if we were in a relationship, we would want our SO to go above and beyond every day not just on one day. I think we should go above and beyond for ourselves too. I was looking at the 1-800Flowers.com site and maybe I will send myself flowers so everyone can ogle them at work. Doesn't matter where its from as long as they look good!

Oh I loveddddd Valentines this year. I celebrated it with people that truly love me and it was a blast. As a single person you can't put your life on hold until "mr.right" comes along.Life is to short!

When I'm single on V Day I usually just go out with some of my female friends and hang out. Just so you wont be in the house pondering on why you're not a Valentines Day date.
