Last year I had taken a small sabbatical from being a yoga teacher. I felt as if writing, marketing and building my small business coaching and mentoring company would serve me much better -- and it did for 2007, but 2008 is my year to change, transform and merge my works together.

That didnt mean I didnt practice yoga. Truth be told, I seriously practiced. I was in a class nearly every day well, maybe not everyday. smile

My business is booming, but there is something inside me that wants to teach yoga. I have agreed to teach one class this year.

See for me, yoga is about change, creation and growth. Yoga is the only practice I know (I know there are others, but I choose yoga) that can change mental perceptions, stubborn beliefs and clear and focus the mind for mental dream creation.

You can see from my many articles that I dont write about postures, alignment or even yogic definitions. Many others write about those things and they dont interest me. I write about the growth, creation, and transformation.

This year, I am planning to start a series of articles on change and transformation through yoga. Each article will correspond with my one yoga class that I am teaching each week this year. (I hope for some of the classes to be audio recorded, so you can at least participate and the audio lesson)

I would love for you to do two things for me.

#1: Look back on 2007 and tell me how yoga has affected your life.

#2: Tell me what you want to change in the New Year 2008. It could be weight lost, a new career, mental clarity, romance you name it! What are your resolutions! Cmon let it be spoken and known!

Have a free and peaceful day.

Love and Success,

Jen

Jen, can't wait to see your articles on change and transformation. This is something I'm very interested in.

In 2006-7 I did yoga at home with CD's and this new year I finally joined the Y to take classes. haven't done a class before but I think I need fresh prospective and motivation. I'm looking forward to that.

My resolutions for the new year are to get the most from going to classes! I'd like to lose some of the weight I gained over the holidays also.

I started doing yoga after my first child was born 5 years ago. It's kept me sane, tone and feeling more energy through out my day.

I'd love to see articles on how yoga contributes to mental clarity and feelings of calm. Also on yoga and kids. My own two small children love to try my yoga poses.

I began to practise yoga about 6-7 years ago at the suggestion of one of my daughters. I had read that most old folks come to grief when they lose their balance and fall, and since I was on the shady side of 65 I asked her if she knew any exercises that would help me keep my balance. She gave me a book on yoga and a mat. Soon I began practising daily, taking lessons and collecting DVDs. I now can do things I never thought possible at first (What, me do the Eagle pose? Are you crazy?) So not only have I become more limber than ever before in my life, but at age 73 am still getting better, and that is SO empowering!

While I have tried yoga in the past via dvd's (and never got beyond two or three tries), 2008 was my first real class--and I've been to 4 now.

So, what I want is to practice and learn yoga.

Thanks for all your comments! I will continue to share information on mental clarity, yoga and how to improve our yoga practice!

I would love to hear from others! How can we improve our lives? How can yoga help us live the life of our dreams?
