Jerzy, thanks for sharing those lovely pictures. I love the roadside shrines. Here, we see crosses quite often along the roads where someone had died, just crossed, they are not graves. Usually they are left alone and not bothered by the law. Often they are kept decorated with flowers. I think it is a very loving memorial.

It is really interesting to hear that Americans also put crosses next to roads to commemorate their dead ones. We are not so different, after all.
