The INTP is usually very independent, unconventional, and original. They are not likely to place much value on traditional goals such as popularity and security. They usually have complex characters, and may tend to be restless and temperamental. They are strongly ingenious, and have unconventional thought patterns which allows them to analyze ideas in new ways.

This is the snippet of INTP I identify most with. I kind of ride the line between INTP and INFP, so a lot of the INTP description felt a little too cold and impersonal for me to identify with.

INFPs have very high standards and are perfectionists. Consequently, they are usually hard on themselves, and don't give themselves enough credit. INFPs may have problems working on a project in a group, because their standards are likely to be higher than other members' of the group.

INFPs are usually talented writers. They may be awkard and uncomfortable with expressing themselves verbally, but have a wonderful ability to define and express what they're feeling on paper.

This bit describes me just as well as my last post. I feel like I'm right on the line between INTP and INFP. ARGH! I have the same problem with my zodiac sign. I can never seem to fall into one, simple category or type.

(Sorry to spam the thread with all this. I just wanted to share)

Another INTJ checking in.
# very expressed introvert
# moderately expressed intuitive personality
# very expressed thinking personality
# slightly expressed judging personality

I also knew from a very young age that I didn't ever want kids. Heck, I didn't like being around little kids even when I was one.

Another INFP here. And the descriptions couldn't be more accurate for me. This is neat, thanks.

Wanted to welcome you too smile And also comment on the cats--they're too cute! The one laying down looks like a lynx point siamese? We have one and she is so funny and talkative. There is a thread going about everyone's furbabies if you want to jump in and let us meet yours!

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, those are my devilmonkey's in the picture...hence my name. Tweak has the blue eyes and Bootsie is the other.

BTW - I absolutely LOVE this forum...it's so nice to know I am not alone. Can't wait to explore, read & discuss more with you all. grin

Very very interesting!
