Journaling is an excellent way to get out whatever has been bothering you during the night (it's also good to do it before you go to bed so you can sleep better).
Exercise in the morning is suppose to be a great motivator for the day but I've always been a night person so for me exercise works better in the evening or later.
I've never been a morning personal but I think your article is equally relevant to us night owlers. I married a morning person - go figure.
