I'm knitting a baby blanket using a ripple pattern from Ripple Stitch Patterns by Jan Eaton & having trouble with it. It is the pattern called Old Shale on page 110.
Multiple of 18
Row 1 (rs) knit
Row 2 K1, P to last st, K1
Row 3 *(K2tog) 3 times; (YO,K1)6 times; rep from * to end
Row 4 K
repeat the sequence with each color.

I'm on my 2nd repeat but the ripple pattern does not seem to match up with the previous ripple. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or how I can fix this?

There appears to be an error in the pattern as it isn't an 18 stitch repeat but a 12 stitch repeat.

The repeat for Row 3 contains 12 stitches, not 3.

You might want to contact the author so that she can get her publisher to post an errata notice on their web site.
