List here as many reasons as you wish in any order why you are happy to be CF by choice. Here are mine in no particular order:

1. Peace and quiet
2. Not being responsible for anyone but myself and my DH (and my puppy)
3. Alot less laundry!
4. We like our budget just fine
5. Can do whatever we want and go where ever we want
6. Don't have to cook big elaborate meals (which would suck since I don't cook)
7. Not having to buy a mini van or SUV (I hate both)
8. I am a germ freak and the thought of a germy baby grosses me out
9. My house stays very clean
10. I don't have to stop drinking for 9 months (and no I am not a alcoholic LOL)
11. I can smile really big and be happy when unhappy moms say to me "Do you have kids? Be so glad you don't because it is terrible." Yes I have had lots of moms say this to me recently. I work retail and they say it when they are in my store w/ their kids. Very sad.
12. We can travel and go the places we want to go - not child centered vacations.
13. My husband and I can focus all our attention on our relationship w/ no interferences.
14. Not to sound completely vane, but I feel I can keep a much more youthful appearance being CF.

The list could go on and on really! But that is a good start =)

Why thank you =) And I totally agree - this should definitely be added to the list. The world is definitely too over populated as it is.

Very cool! That is a very interesting point that you make. I feel that if that was the case, I would get pregnant no matter what.

Pain. I have a very low tolerance for pain.
Expensive. And I'm not just talking about money. Children cost, physically, emotionally, mentally as well.
The fact that I don't have to worry about looking after another human being. I have my cat, that's enough.
for the fact that I just don't want to. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean that I have to. Just because I have the means doesn't mean that I have to act upon it. I exercised my right to choose when I had my tubal and endometiral ablation. My body, my choice.

Pregnancy

My career going down the pan

All my maternal instincts lie in the way of cats and kittens.

Example 1:

"Look, this is my baby, she's 4 weeks old, isn't she lovely?"
- "Oh, erm yes"
"Would you like to hold her?"
-"No thanks, that's ok" (thinking: please go away, children make me nervous)

Example 2:
"Look, this is my cat, she's 4, isn't she........"
-"Ohhhhh kitty, kitty, kitty, how are you my precious? aren't you lovely? what a pretty kitty you are, do you want cuddles? oh.. look at your lovely paws.. what lovely paws... oh, aren't you so beautiful?"

That should be enough justification to the NHS to sterilise me now.

Oh Linux Lady - those are fantastic examples! I can totally understand. I also relate better to animals than children.
