i have to agree about the ytube thing. can anyone say ewwwww!!!!
i also have to say that i really can't understand the show a baby story on tlc. i mean why would anyone want their birth shown on tv? i have to admit i watch a few minutes of it now and then and think to myself why would anyone want to go through that and esp. on tv? i mean it's really gross and the families really annoy me at times when they're so concerned with the mothers just popping one out not even concerned about the poor woman suffering in labor! mind boggling to me!really irritating.

I couldn't agree w/ you more. If I wanted kids I would never go on a show like that. I guess some people like to show off? Gross! I don't know. But that show skeeves me out and I can't watch it.

Angela- I really admire your ability to speak your mind. If I could do that, I wouldn't be nearly the mess that I am. My husband is always telling me that I should just speak my mind and stop just freezing up whenever someone says something stupid. My problem is that I feel like I'd be arguing with people constantly. I ALWAYS disagree with people around me.

Given that my friend's baby just died suddenly in the womb one month before her due date (so an 8 month old foetus), anyone who is presumptious and confident enough to do this makes me angry.

Yes, I can relate and yes, it is worth it, because when you DO find a kindred spirit amongst the masses the depth of connection can be magical.

Ugh...I can totally relate to everything you are all saying! I am right at the age where EVERYONE I know is having babies--we lost 6 of our couples friends to parenthood last year frown It is getting so hard to pretend I'm happy and excited for them all, but I feel like I have to so that I don't seem rude or uncaring. I guess I am happy for them but I also feel like I am mourning our friendships because I know they will pretty much be over once the babies get here.

But, now that I've found this forum I can finally have some people to commiserate with! smile

i also feel the same way that i have to be more excited than i am. i mean i'm happy for them but you know how some people are over the top happy for people when they're preggers.

i believe it is worth it also being CF b/c even though i feel left out at times and my social circle isn't what it used to be there are many many great things that i've been able to do and continue to do b/c i'm CF.

i was thinking about this yesterday when i was taking a kickboxing class.i i just love it b/c i feel so strong and powerful during it. i love working out and i'm so glad that i can make the time to do something that i feel really good about.

Yeah, I can't whip up much excitement or really anything but concern when someone's pregnant. When my friend accidentally got pregnant, I was really concerned, especially since she didn't have a steady job right then and things were rocky between her and her guy, and he actually told her that he didn't want her to be pregnant after she said she might be. (stupid thing is, it was HIS fault) But when she called her mom the woman went super freak out happy that she was going to be a grandma. Cripes, how could she not even THINK "hey, my daughter's not even done with college, doesn't have a steady job, and isn't in a secure relationship...Maybe this isn't the best thing to have happened now." Some people just don't seem to care about the reality of the situation. :P

I suppose it is to be expected that we won't feel integral to some conversations, especially when we're outnumbered and can't change the topic.

I normally start feeling glad that I don't have to have the conversation... and start wondering if there is anyway I could leave the conversation without being noticed.
