I've done some research about shea butter and thought you might like to know that it is wonderful for the skin. I didn't know that there is actually a shea butter organization.

I tried some body lotion over the weekend that is made with this shea butter and it is fabulous. The way it makes your skin feel is just plain elegant...like you've been at the spa.

Does anyone know the differences in shea butters? I saw some on the internet that were very inexpensive and then others that cost a lot. I would like to try an make my own face cream and have some good recipes but wanted to get the best shea butter-even if it's the more expensive one.

I know that pure shea butter is supposed to have a slight nutty smell. It ranges in color from yellow to white. If its white can mean that is been processed or that its old. Unrefined is best as its higher in Vitamin E I believe.

I love shea butter. I even have a shea butter bar soap that I can use to wash my hair. It leaves it really soft and shiny.

I bought some shea butter in bulk and the unrefined is mostly more expensive, but worth it.
