Nice article! I'm passing it on to my daughter who is an architecture student. she's interested in building "green"homes so her profession fits in naturally with eco-living.

I too work at home and so don't use gas to commute. I save on buying clothes to wear to the office and my clothes last longer and don't have to be the latest fashion.

Working at home gives me a little extra time to do the recycling and research "green" products to use around the house too.

There is a service you can pay for that will send all faxes to your e-mail. This would save on paper, toner, etc...

That sounds interesting -- I researched a bit and found a few providers such as efax (www.efax.com) that offer a free download and trial service.

I actually used to drive to the local general store to send and receive faxes. I thought my only alternative was to buy a fax (which we did). This may be even a better option! Thanks

If you need to send something with a signature or something like that, you would still need a fax machine, or at least a scanner. My husband's phone service will actually let him fax PDF's, so that's normally what we use. He runs his business out of our house though, so I don't know if what he has would be cost effective for the average Josephine.
