Just wondering how it could take you 4 years to decide to get a dog. My dog is terrific- she brings everyone so much happiness- the whole block loves her. She breaks down bariers with strangers and is a great companion. She needs very little and gives me TRUE unconditional love.

There are hundreds of homeless dogs that will be put to sleep if they don't get adopted soon. How can you be so selfish?

That's pretty uncalled for, don't you think? I don't know Zuzupetalz's situation, but as for myself:
I love dogs and I can't wait to adopt one from a rescue. However, my husband and I are at work all day and the dog would be by itself for long periods of time. Also, we wouldn't be able to afford large vet bills if something were to happen to it (sickness, injury, etc.) That, in my opinion, is WAY more selfish than not owning a dog.

You would have to read the whole earlier "A question" post. Pinkbows' post was entirely tongue in cheek.
