No, I'm keeping it shoulder-blade length now. It just feels much more manageable (although not as easy to see what I'm doing when I'm trying to trim it myself now!)

OK, before you read my prices, make sure you sit down. Are you settled?
OK, then... the price to cut long hair over here averages from $20-50

And the best salons I know and which I visited myself, without being scissor happy are the ones who ask in the $20 price range!
Yup, the scissor happy people even ask more for it. Not only do they get what they want, they want more money for it then a hairdresser that listens to you.

I'll prepare my rooms in case any of you wants to come over and find out himself. Your all welcome to stay and find out in case you don't believe me wink

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!

Additionally, my hair is now over shoulder length and I'm having a hard time accepting that I want to grow it longer and resist getting it permed again. frown
But I KNOW that I have to choice between either letting it grow longer or perm it. I think I'll search a hairdresser that wants to curl my hair with my own bendies, since I'm far from an expert in doing it myself... (and no, there is nobody who can do it for me, unfortunately)

I do love my long hair, no matter what some told me already. The outgrowth perm does even make it look nice. At least, it looks nice for me, that's all that counts. smile

The best example I have to show how much I love my long hair is either taking a lock of hair and putting it at my nose to smell the shampoo and the hair. And when I get a haircut to remove split ends, I always make it clear that I let my hair grow long for a GOOD REASON in the first place...

It took some time with hairdressers that I rather not visit any longer to understand this simple logic.

My hair is mid-back length. I've had it as short as my ears and as long as waist-length.

I get my hair trimmed every eight weeks (and have been for the last 10 years) and never have a split end. I believe if you get your hair cut regularly it grows faster instead of expending energy to fix split ends.

I get compliments on my hair on a daily basis. It's strong, thick, shiny and very healthy. I think it's my best feature. grin Besides, my DH loves it! I don't think I will ever have my hair shorter than shoulder-length again.

Having long hair that looks great every day requires maintenance and I don't mind putting in the work to achieve the look I want.

I have often wondered when people say to me trim your ends so your hair will grow, doesn't your hair grow from the roots, what do the ends have to do with the hair growing???? any body know?????

for long hair I only charge 20 for a wash, cut, and dry out. if you wanted it styled as well we charge between 23-25 for long hair.

but for cuts alone our range is 15-20

triming the ends help control split ends. When you hair starts to shred (split ends) it stops growing as quickly and you will start loosing more than the 80-150 strands a day of hair. Also uncontrolled split ends can continue to grown and split worse.

My hair is about 2" long on top and probably a little longer in the back. For much of my life i tried to get my hair to do what i wanted and it never worked. As a teen and younger woman i had it long; problem is it's as straight as a new nail and about that cooperative. Then for a while i tried perming it. What a pain! It was "right" for about 3 weeks and other than that i felt like acurled up pasta noodle. Yuck!

My father said that he was blessed with 3 kids with curly teeth and straight hair! I finally gave up trying to make it do anything and cut it off! I LOVE it! And about a year ago i got it streaked bright red so i really love it. It's fun and makes me feel good. I get a lot of stares and a few comments ranging the gamit. Who cares! I spent too many years worrying about what other people thought of me; now at 61 i want to love my life while i still have it!
