Are freelance jobs hard to come by? How much do you get paid? I'm pretty sure it really depends on the job, but do you find multiple freelance jobs or do you find a few freelance jobs and then apply to some of these sites like Associated Content, Helium, etc. What kind of techniques are standard?

Has anyone worked with Writer Bin? I just signed up. I had not heard of them before. I am currently working with two bidding agents and get lots of work but the pay is not so good.

If some of you are looking to hone your writing skills, or for a place to sell your writing, I'd like to invite you to join Helium, where writers can earn a share of revenues for their articles, sell their work through the marketplace, win money through their weekly contests, and help other writers to advance their skills.

I've been there for about a year now, and it works well with my duties here at BellaOnline because you write as much as you wish, so it doesn't need to interfere with what else you might be doing if you've got other large projects going on, or you can work it like a regular job.

You can view what the marketplace is paying here... HERE It's free to join!

Some great forums to hang out in are WAHM.com (Work at Home Moms), they have a WAHMs Who Write folder and a Bloggers folder; and another forum is AbsoluteWrite. It has something for every genre of writing you can think of and folders for jobs.

I frequent www.freelancewritinggigs.com. She has links to various places that hire bloggers and freelance writers.

I'm also a member of Guru since it was an easy way to get started when I began freelancing last October.

Writers Research Group is another great if you are looking for consistent work. They are hiring again if anyone is looking.

Thanks everybody for all of your great ideas too. I'm going to be jotting them down in my lead file.
