Charlotte's Web!

What is one book that you could not live without in your own collection of children's literature?

Either A Wrinkle Time or All of Judy Blume's kids' books.

A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett

I love lots of them, and sharing them with my children, so it is hard to pick. But this one is just magical for me.

Wrinkle in Time for sure.
Also The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper (which is nothing like that crummy little movie version just released in October)
and Lloyd Alexander's Prydain series (The Book of Three, The Black Cauldron, etc.)

Secret Garden is a novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It's my all time classic favorite.

Never read A Wrinkle in Time??!!?? LOL It is a short but good book and the movie wasn't very good that they recently put out about it. When I had chicken pox and then an allergic reaction to the medication they gave me when I was in the 4th grade, my dad went to the library and randomly grabbed books not thinking about the age appropriatness of them. He got me all of the Chronicals of Narnia books, a Wrinkle in Time, all of the Lord of the Rings books and accidently got one of the adult Judy Blume books LOL I think it was Wifey

Tee Hee!!! Oh mah goodness. I remember that! I remember when we teenage girls were able to sneak some of Judy's more 'advanced' works into our collections because our parents were used to her middle grade type stuff.

Do you remember her book "Forever"?

Well, you better believe that I'm addng a "Wrinkle in Time" to my reading list.

Oh, gosh, I'd hate to try to pick just one!

A Wrinkle in Time
Deenie
Five of a Kind Family (anyone heard of this one?)
Little House on the Prairie series

I'm a newbie...can I join the fun?

Thanx,
Arlene
