Do you make resolutions?
I've made some 'reverse resolutions'

Things I Don't Need in the New Year
I just read a book that has made me think of some things that I should make resolutions about.

I don't make any, because i don't keep them, and i feel like a bigger failure, so i can just say i will try to lose weight, and i will try to walk more on my treadmill . try, try, try

That's always on my resolution list ! And it is always the one that gets lost in the shuffle of life.

This thread started me thinking about why our resolutions fail. I just added this article on making New Years Resolutions successful.

As so many resolutions never seem to work out, we've opted this year not to make any. Instead, since the number 8 is God's number for new beginnings, we are beginning in 2008 to make lifestyle changes. For example, healthier food choices, choosing a book a month in the Bible to study and discuss together as a family, creating a "family night" to turn off the tv and play games together. Lynn, I love your successful NY Resolutions article. That's exactly what we decided to do this year. BTW, I just found this site and absolutely LOVE it.

Good thoughts all around. Resolutions should be a time of reflection and goal setting and planning, not so much about making unrealistic demands on yourself.
